Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to make JABA work. No ads, no data selling, no surprises.
Who we are
JABA is made by CCT Plus LLC, a Texas-based company. If you have questions or concerns about your data, email us at [email protected].
What we collect
Some data is collected regardless of whether you have an account:
- Crash and error data: If the app crashes, Sentry captures technical details like your device type and OS version so we can fix it. No personal or financial data is included.
- App usage analytics: TelemetryDeck records anonymous usage patterns, like which screens you visit or whether a transaction was an inflow or outflow. This data is non-identifiable and cannot be tied back to you.
- Subscription status: If you subscribe, your subscription status is tracked through RevenueCat so the app knows your subscription is active.
- Website analytics: If you visit our website, Plausible tracks pages visited, traffic sources, device type, and country-level location. No cookies, no personal data.
If you create an account, we also collect:
- Your email and name: Used to create your account and send you emails.
- Your budget data: Categories, targets, and transactions you enter manually. This syncs to our servers so your data is safe across devices.
- Bank transaction data: If you choose to link a bank account, we use Plaid to retrieve your transactions. Plaid handles the actual connection to your financial institution. We never see or store your bank login credentials. We do store the resulting transaction records (amounts, dates, merchants) so JABA can work.
How we use your data
- To run the app and keep your budget in sync across your devices
- To connect your bank accounts through Plaid when you ask
- To manage your subscription status through RevenueCat
- To fix crashes and errors using Sentry
- To understand how people use JABA so we can improve it (TelemetryDeck)
- To send you emails about your account or JABA updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone.
The services we work with
These are the companies that help us run JABA. Each of them receives only the data they need to do their job.
| Service | What this means for you |
|---|---|
| Clerk | Manages your JABA account and handles signing in, out, and deletion. |
| Plaid | Connects to your bank when you choose to link an account. You authenticate directly with Plaid so we never see your bank login credentials. |
| RevenueCat | After you purchase a subscription through the App Store, RevenueCat lets JABA know your subscription is active. You never interact with it directly. |
| Sentry | If the app crashes, Sentry captures technical details like your device type and OS version so we can fix it. No personal or financial data is included. |
| TelemetryDeck | Collects anonymous usage patterns to help us improve the app. Nothing can be traced back to you individually. |
| Loops | Handles all email delivery for JABA. |
| Plausible | Tracks how visitors use our website, including pages visited, traffic sources, device type, and country-level location. No cookies, no personal data. |
Our backend servers run on Railway in the United States.
Your data, your call
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct something, or delete your account entirely. When you delete your account, we remove all of your data from our servers: your budget, linked account data, and everything else associated with your account.
Send any of these requests to [email protected] and we’ll take care of it.
JABA is currently only available to users in the United States.
Children’s privacy
JABA is not intended for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us at [email protected] and we’ll remove it immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we’ll let you know through the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
