Terms of Service
The rules for using JABA. Plain language, no surprises.
Who these terms apply to
These Terms of Service apply to everyone who uses JABA — the app, the website, and any related services. By creating an account or using JABA, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
JABA is made by CCT Plus LLC, a Texas-based company.
Who can use JABA
You must be at least 13 years old and a resident of the United States to use JABA. By signing up, you’re confirming both of those things are true.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don’t share your password. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, email us at [email protected] right away.
Everything you do inside JABA while logged in to your account is your responsibility.
What JABA does (and doesn’t do)
JABA is a budgeting tool. It helps you:
- Set up budget categories and spending targets
- Log and track transactions manually
- Link your bank accounts to automatically import transactions
- See where your money is going across devices
JABA never moves your money. We have read-only access to your transaction data through Plaid — we can see transactions, but we cannot initiate transfers, make payments, or touch your funds in any way.
JABA is not financial advice. Nothing in the app should be taken as professional financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. You’re using it as a personal organizational tool, and any financial decisions you make are your own.
Subscriptions and billing
JABA requires a paid subscription after any applicable free trial. Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple — you purchase through the App Store, and Apple handles billing, renewals, and refunds.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date
- To cancel, go to your iPhone or Mac subscription settings — not through JABA itself
- For refunds, contact Apple directly through their standard refund process
Current pricing is listed on our website and in the App Store. Prices may change, but we’ll give you advance notice before any change affects your renewal.
Linking your bank
If you choose to link a bank account, that connection is handled by Plaid. You authenticate directly with your bank through Plaid — we never see your bank login credentials.
Once connected, Plaid sends us your transaction data (amounts, dates, merchants) so JABA can show it to you. You can disconnect your bank at any time from within the app.
Using Plaid also means you agree to Plaid’s terms and privacy policy.
Your data
You own your budget data — your categories, targets, and transactions. We store it on our servers so your data stays in sync across your devices.
You can request a copy of your data or delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. When you delete your account, we delete all of your data from our servers.
See our Privacy Policy for the full picture on how we handle your data.
What you can’t do
Don’t use JABA to:
- Do anything illegal
- Reverse engineer, copy, or try to extract the source code of the app
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Scrape or automate requests to our servers
- Misrepresent who you are when signing up
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Service availability
We do our best to keep JABA running reliably, but we can’t promise it’ll be available 100% of the time. Servers have outages, bugs happen, and sometimes we need to take things down for maintenance.
JABA is provided as-is. We make no guarantees that it’ll be error-free or meet every specific need you have.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, CCT Plus LLC’s total liability to you for any claim related to JABA is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages — things like lost profits, lost data, or financial losses resulting from your use of (or inability to use) JABA.
This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
Third-party services
JABA works with third-party services like Plaid, RevenueCat, Clerk, and others. Each of these has their own terms of service and privacy policy. We’re not responsible for how those services operate or for outages on their end.
Changes to these terms
If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we’ll let you know through the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use JABA after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be handled in Texas courts.
